Barn raising is a very common practice in their community for anyone who needs a barn. However, you have to consider how different this is from construction we know. They do all of this without cranes or any electrical equipment. The whole purpose of barn raising is to demonstrate one’s selflessness, dedication to help others and commitment to the commandment love thy neighbor.
